Monitor GDS Data

  1. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. Engine start.
  3. Monitor "Battery Voltage (AMS)", "Battery Current (AMS)", "Battery Temperature (AMS)", "Invalid State of Battery Charge (AMS)", "Invalid State of Battery Health-aging (AMS)", "Invalid Status of Battery Function to crank the engine (AMS)", "Invalid Condition of Battery Sensor (AMS)", "Invalid Status of Quiescent current (AMS)", "Response Error Flag from Battery Sensor (AMS)", "State of Charge of Battery (AMS)", "State of Health of Battery (AMS)", "State of Function of Battery (AMS)" parameter on the "Current data" with GDS.

  4. Are the parameters displayed correctly?

    YES 

    • Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or ECM/PCM's connector or was repaired and ECM/PCM memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
