Component Inspection

Perform HO2S (S2) Heater
1. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
2. IG KEY "ON" & ENG "OFF".
3. Perform "Actuation Test" for HO2S (S2) Heater.

Inspection HO2S (S2) Heater
1. IG Key "OFF".
2. Disconnect HO2S (S2) connector.
3. Measure resistance between heater power and heater control terminal of the HO2S (S2) Heater. (Component Side)
  Specification: Approx. 9.0Ω (20°C) (68°F)
Confirm Part Inspection
1. Does the HO2S (S2) Heater work properly? (Check variation)
  YES
  - Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
  NO
  - Substitute with a known-good HO2S (S2) and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace HO2S (S2) and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
