O2 Sensor 1 Circuit Inspection

  1. Ignition "OFF" & Disconnect O2 sensor 1 connector.
  2. IG "ON".
  3. Measure voltage between Pin No. 1 (Nernst Voltage) terminal of O2 Sensor 1 harness connector and chassis ground.

    Specification:  Approx 2.6V

  4. Measure voltage between Pin No. 3 (Virtual Ground) terminal of O2 Sensor 1 harness connector and chassis ground.

    Specification:  Approx 0V

  5. Measure voltage between Pin No. 4 (Trim Resistor) terminal of O2 Sensor 1 harness connector and chassis ground.

    Specification:  Approx 2.4V

  6. Measure voltage between Pin No. 6 (Pumping Current) terminal of O2 Sensor 1 harness connector and chassis ground.

    Measure voltage between Pin No. 3 (Virtual Ground) terminal of HO2S (S1) harness connector and chassis ground.

    Measure voltage between Pin No. 6 (Pumping Current) terminal of HO2S (S1) harness connector and chassis ground.

    Measure voltage between Pin No. 4 (Trim Resistor) terminal of HO2S (S1) harness connector and chassis ground.

    Specification: 

  7. Is the measured voltage within specification?

    YES 

    NO
