Component Inspection

Check MAPS performance
1. IG KEY "OFF".
2. Connect CH A probe to signal terminal (Pin No. 1) of MAPS connector and CH B probe to signal terminal (Pin No. 6) of TPS connector.
3. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
4. Measure signal waveform of MAPS and TPS together by stepping on and off the accelerator pedal.

Confirm Part Inspection
1. Does the MAPS operate properly? (Check variation)
  YES
  - Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
  NO
  - Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
  - If problem still occurs, replace MAPS and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
