Description And Operation: Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2017 Kia Soul EV. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The Front Impact Sensors (FIS) are installed in the Front End Module (FEM). These remote sensors are used to detect acceleration due to a collision at the mounting location.

The primary purpose of the Front Impact Sensor (FIS) is to provide an indication of a collision. The Front Impact Sensor (FIS) sends acceleration data to the SRSCM.
