DTC P0564: Cruise Control Multi-Function Input A Circuit: General Description
The cruise control system keeps the vehicle running at a fixed speed until a signal canceling this fixed speed is received. When the PCM receives a signal from the CC (Cruise Control) control switch, the PCM controls the Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) motor to hold the vehicle at the current speed. The same circuit between the switches and the PCM is used for all switch functions. When a switch is pressed, the voltage changes on the signal wire. While the system is operating, the "CRUISE" indicator lamp in the instrument cluster lights up.
