Power Circuit of Fuel Pressure Sensor Inspection

■ Voltage check 

1. IG "OFF"
2. Disconnect Fuel Pressure Sensor harness connector.
3. IG "ON"
4. Measure the voltage between power terminal of fuel pressure sensor harness connector and chassis ground.

   Specification:  Above. 4.5V

5. Is the measured voltage within specification?

   YES 

   • Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, ending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

   NO 

   • Go to next procedure.

■ Short to ground check 

1. IG "OFF"
2. Disconnect FPCM and Fuel Pressure Sensor harness connector.
3. Measure the resistance between power terminal of fuel pressure sensor harness connector and chassis ground.

   Specification:  Approx. below 1Ω

4. Is the measured resistance within specification?

   YES 

   • Substitute with a known - good FPCM and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace FPCM and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

   NO 

   • Repair short to GND in power circuit of fuel pressure sensor. Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
