Monitor DTC Status

  1. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. Diagnose EPB with GDS for DTC and state information.
  3. In case of historic DTC: Erase DTC with GDS and verify that DTC is erased and MIL is off.
  4. In case of active DTC: Perform ESC "Auto Detected Configuration Reset" in the "Vehicle S/W Management  " with GDS.
  5. Delete historic C1702 and verify that code is erased and MIL is off.

    * After vehicle variant coding, perform G-sensor calibration and ASP calibration.

NOTE: If C1702 code is active after variant coding, perform the procedure below.
  • Make sure variant coding was carried out with correct vehicle information.
  • Substitute with a known-good HECU and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace HECU and then go to "Verification Of Vehicle Repair " procedure.

* In case of replacing HECU, perform following procedures.
  1. "ASP Calibration" for steering angle sensor offset correction.
  2. "Longitudinal G-Sensor Calibration" for Longitudinal sensor offset correction (refer to C1285 )
  3. "Variant Coding"
