Repair Procedures: Removal
- Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
- Drain the engine coolant. (Refer to Refilling And Bleeding

).
- Remove the radiator upper hose. (Refer to Repair Procedures
.
)
- Disconnect the knock sensor connector (A).

- Remove the intake manifold. (Refer to Removal And Installation
.)
- Remove the mounting bolt (A), and then remove the sensor from the cylinder block.
