Component Inspection

■ Check TPS Performance 

1. IG KEY "OFF".
2. Connect CH A probe to TPS1 signal terminal (Pin No. 6) of ETC Motor connector and CH B probe to TPS2 signal terminal (Pin No. 4) of ETC Motor connector.
3. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
4. Measure signal waveform of TPS1 and TPS2 together by stepping on and off the accelerator pedal.

   Specification:  Refer to SIGNAL WAVEFORM & DATA

5. Does the TPS operate properly? (Check Variation).

   YES 

   • Go to "SYSTEM INSPECTION " procedure.

   NO 

   • Carefully redo this troubleshooting guide steps.
   • If no problems were found with the circuits or connectors, replace the ECT Motor and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
