Repair Procedure: Removal

Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
Remove the battery.
(Refer to Engine Electrical System - "BATTERY ")
Remove the air cleaner assembly.
(Refer to "AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY ")
Disconnect the ECM connector (A).
Remove the ECM bracket mounting bolt (B) and nuts (C).
ECM Bracket Mounting Bolt/Nut:

9.8 ~ 11.8 N.m (1.0 ~ 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 ~ 8.7 lb-ft)

Remove the ECM after loosening the screws (A) from ECM bracket.
ECM Mounting Bolt:

9.8 ~ 11.8 N.m (1.0 ~ 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 ~ 8.7 lb-ft)
