Component Inspection

■ Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) Valve Inspection 

1. Connect KDS/GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
2. Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF".
3. Perform "Actuation Test  " for PCSV.

4. Ignition "OFF".
5. Disconnect PCSV connector.
6. Measure resistance between power and control terminal of the PCSV. (component side)

   Specification:  Approx. 2.0kΩ [20°C (68°F)]

7. Does the PCSV operate properly and is the measured resistance within specification?

   YES 

   • Go to "Injector Operation Inspection" procedure below.

   NO 

   • Replace it, and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

■ Injector Operation Inspection 

1. Connect KDS/GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
2. Perform "Actuation Test  " for Injector.

3. Check if RPM decreases when performing injector actuation test.
4. Does any cylinder change in RPM or small change in RPM when disabling individual injector?

   YES 

   • Replace injector, and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

   NO 

   • Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
