Check Short to Ground in Signal Circuit
- Ignition "OFF"
- Disconnect the alternator and ECM connectors.
- Measure resistance between Pin No. 1 (COM) terminal of alternator harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification: ∞ (infinite)Ω
- Is the measured value within specification?
YES
- Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " procedure.
NO
- Repair or replace as necessary and then, go to "VERIFICATION OF REPAIR " procedure.
