DTC U04B1-00: Invalid Data Received From Battery Monitor Module: General Description

The ECM utilizes a Local Interconnect Network (LIN) line in conjunction with a battery sensor. The battery sensor is mounted on the negative cable of the battery. The battery sensor monitors amperage, temperature and voltage. This information is monitored by the ECM and used to determine the generator charge rate duty cycle. This system helps to maintain a constant steady voltage, which creates a stable environment for the vehicles modules and sensors to operate within.
