WCS Reset

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2018 Kia Forte5 and 2018 Kia Forte. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Ignition "OFF", connect GDS.
  2. Ignition "ON"& Engine "OFF".
  3. Perform "WCS Reset" in the "Vehicle S/W Management" 
  4. You will see comments and current weight measured.
  5. Make sure the measure weight is caused by occupant or tools or interference.
  6. And then press "ENTER"

  7. The 'WCS Reset' operation will take 3~10 second.
  8. Make sure that there should not be vibration or weight adding to the passenger front seat.

  9. If the 'WCS Reset' operation is finished successfully, you will see the following screen.

    Specification  : Approx. - 4.0 kg ~ + 4.0 kg

  10. Is the displayed parameter the same as the above image?

    YES 

    NO 

    • WCS Reset isn't performed correctly.
    • Go to the applicable DTC INDEX procedure.
