Repair Procedures: Disassembly

- Remove the front right side tire.
- Remove the engine room side cover (A).
- Remove the wheel guard from the wheel house.
- Loosen the drive belt.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "DRIVE BELT ")
- Remove the center bolt (A) while holding the disc & hub assembly bolt remover (09977-3R000).
Tightening Torque:
9.8 - 14.7 N.m (1.0 - 1.5 kgf.m, 7.2 - 10.8 lb.ft)
- Remove the disc & hub assembly (A) and shim (gap washer). Be careful not to lose the shims.
Tightening Torque:
5 - 7 N.m (0.5 - 0.7 kgf.m, 3.6 - 5.1 lb.ft)
- Remove the pulley (B) after removing the snap ring (A) with snap ring pliers.NOTE:
- Be careful not to damage the pulley (B) and compressor during removal/installation.
- Once the snap ring (A) is removed, replace it with a new one.
- Reassemble the compressor clutch in the reverse order of disassembly.
- Clean the pulley and compressor sliding surfaces with non-petroleum solvent.
- Install new snap ring, and make sure they are fully seated in the groove.
- Make sure that the pulley turns smoothly after it is reassembled.
