Ground Circuit Inspection
- Ignition "OFF".
- Disconnect Battery (-) terminal.
- Refer to INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR (IATS) and ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) and disconnect IAT Sensor and ECM/PCM connector.
- Measure resistance between Pin No. 4 (Ground) terminal of IAT Sensor harness connector and Pin No. 60 (Ground) terminal of ECM/PCM harness connector.
Specification: Approx. below 1Ω
- Connect ECM/PCM connector.
- Measure resistance between Pin No. 4 (Ground) terminal of IAT sensor harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification: Approx. below 1Ω
- Is the measured value within specification?
YES
- Go to "Signal Circuit Inspection" procedure below.
NO
- Repair open or short in ground circuit between IAT Sensor and chassis ground and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
