DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Voltage Monitoring
  1. Poor Connector Connection
  2. Short to Battery or Open in ECT Sensor Signal Circuit
  3. Faulty ECT Sensor
Enable Conditions
  • Battery voltage higher than 6V and lower than 16V
  • IAT higher than or equal to -22°F (-30°C)
  • 60s after engine start if IAT lower than -22°F (-30°C)
  • No relevant DTC present
Threshold Value
  • ECT Sensor signal voltage higher than 4.93V (-40°F/-40°C)
Diagnostic Time
  • Continuous
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 Driving Cycles
