Ground Circuit Inspection

  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect Battery (-) terminal.
  3. Refer to ETC (ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL) SYSTEM and disconnect Throttle Body connector.
  4. Measure resistance between Pin No. 3 (Ground) terminal of Throttle Body harness connector and chassis ground.

    Specification:  Approx. below 1Ω

  5. Ignition "OFF".
  6. Disconnect Battery (-) terminal.
  7. Refer to ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) and disconnect ECM/PCM connector.
  8. Measure resistance between Pin No. 3 (Ground) terminal of Throttle Body harness connector and Pin No. 59 (Ground) terminal of ECM/PCM harness connector.

    Specification:  Approx. below 1Ω

  9. Is the measured value within specification?

    YES 

    • Go to "Signal Circuit Inspection" procedure below.

    NO
