Signal Circuit Inspection
- Ignition "OFF".
- Disconnect Battery (-) terminal.
- Refer to ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) and disconnect ECM/PCM connector.
- Measure resistance between Pin No. 6 (TPS1 Signal) terminal of Throttle Body harness connector and Pin No. 100 (TPS1 Signal) terminal of ECM/PCM harness connector.
- Measure resistance between Pin No. 4 (TPS2 Signal) terminal of Throttle Body harness connector and Pin No. 80 (TPS2 Signal) terminal of ECM/PCM harness connector.
Specification: Approx. below 1 Ω
- Is measured value within specification?
YES
- go to "Component Inspection " procedure.
NO
- Repair open or short in signal circuit between Throttle Body and ECM/PCM and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
