Inhibitor Switch Inspection
- Ignition "OFF".
- Refer to INHIBITOR SWITCH , disconnect inhibitor switch connector.
- Measure electric current between power line of inhibitor switch and signal line of each gear positions (P, R, N, D)
Specification :
Current between power line and signal line at "P" position [Approx. 0.3~0.5Ω (Measured value)]
Current between power line and signal line at "R" position [Approx. 0.3~0.5Ω (Measured value)]
Current between power line and signal line at "N" position [Approx. 0.3~0.5Ω (Measured value)]
Current between power line and signal line at "D" position [Approx. 0.3~0.5Ω (Measured value)]
- Is the measured value within specification?
YES
- Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
- Check the alignment of shift cable. If problem occurs, align the cable and then go to "Verification Of Repair " procedure.
- If problem still occurs, replace PCM/TCM and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
- If problem still occurs, replace Inhibitor Switch and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
