Signal Circuit Inspection
- Ignition "OFF".
- Disconnect inhibitor switch connector.
- Ignition "ON".
- Measure voltage between each terminal and chassis ground while shift gear lever to "P", "R", "N", "D".
Specification : See below "Inhibitor switch specification"
NO P P-R R R-N N N-D D S1 12V 12V 0 0 0 0 0 S2 0 12V 12V 12V 0 0 0 S3 0 0 0 12V 12V 12V 0 S4 0 0 0 0 0 12V 12V - Is the measured value within specification?
YES
- Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " procedure.
NO
- Repair open or short in signal circuit between Inhibitor Switch and PCM and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
