General Information: General Description
The transmission Oil Temperature Sensor (OTS) is located in the valve body. The sensor uses a thermistor which resistance changes according to temperature change. The PCM/TCM supplies approximately 3.3 reference volts to the sensor, the output voltage of the sensor changes with transmission fluid temperature change. This information is monitored by the PCM/TCM which assist in controlling the Torque Converter Clutch (TCC), shift control and other purposes.
