DTC P020D: Cylinder 4 Injector Timing (Injector Input Line Circuit Error): General Description

The fuel injection time is decided by engine load, mass air flow and various sensor signals. The Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) engine increases output by increasing intake air density by injecting high pressure fuel supplied from high pressure pump directly into the combustion chamber. Also it injects multifully. Direct and multiful injection increase fuel efficiency and output.

The fuel is injected by magnetizing the coil lifting up niddle valve in injector when Injector Drive Box ((IDB/ECU) operates injector. The IDB/ECU is used for operating high pressure injector and pump. The IDB/ECU is external to PCM due to size.
