DTC Inspection: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible cause
DTC Strategy
  • Detects sensor signal short to high voltage
  1. Poor connection
  2. Open in power circuit
  3. Open or short to ground in signal circuit
  4. Faulty Power Steering Pressure Sensor
  5. Faulty PCM
Enable Conditions
  • Engine works
  • 11V ≤ Battery voltage ≤ 16V
Threshold value
  • Sensor output voltage less than 0.25V
Diagnosis Time
  • Continuous (More than 10 seconds failure for every 20 seconds test)
MIL On Condition
  • NO MIL ON(DTC only)
