Repair Procedures: Removal

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the battery.

    (Refer to Engine Electrical System - "BATTERY ")

  3. Remove the air cleaner assembly.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER ")

  4. Disconnect the ECM connector (A).
  5. Remove the ECM bracket mounting bolt (B) and nuts (C).

    ECM bracket mounting bolt/nut: 

    9.8 ~ 11.8 N.m (1.0 ~ 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 ~ 8.7 lb-ft)

  6. Remove the ECM after loosening the screws (A) from ECM bracket.

    ECM mounting bolt: 

    9.8 ~ 11.8 N.m (1.0 ~ 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 ~ 8.7 lb-ft)
