DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition
| Item |
Detecting Condition |
Possible Cause |
| Case 1 |
DTC Strategy |
- Feedback: fails to enter or defaults-out by Load Pulse.
|
- Poor connection
- Open in signal circuit
- HO2S downstream (S2)
|
| Enable Conditions |
- Duration of downstream HO2S between 0.4 - 0.5V for more than 3 seconds.
- Load Pulse: End of 3rd pulse.
- Battery voltage greater than 10.7V.
- Heat quantity from exhaust gas around downstream HO2S greater than 10~772 kJ (kilojoules).
|
| Threshold Value |
- Average of loaded voltage greater than 2.8 V.
|
| Diagnostic Time |
|
| Case 2 |
DTC Strategy |
- Open circuit, or internal resistance too high.
|
| Enable Conditions |
- Battery voltage greater than 10.7V.
- Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) around downstream HO2S greater than 600°C (1112°F) or heat quantity from exhaust gas around downstream HO2S greater than 10~772 kJ (kilojoules).
|
| Threshold Value |
- Internal resistance greater than 40 kΩ.
|
| Diagnostic Time |
|
| Case 3 |
DTC Strategy |
- HO2S signal interruption by heater.
|
| Enable Conditions |
- Battery voltage greater than 10.7V.
- Time after heat quantity from exhaust gas greater than 10~772kJ (kilojoules) over 10 seconds.
|
| Threshold Value |
- Downstream HO2S voltage counter variation greater than 2V for 0.04sec after heater on -> off.
|
| Diagnostic Time |
