Component Inspection

Upstream (S1) Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Visual Inspection 

  1. Ignition "OFF" and disconnect HO2S (S1) connector.
  2. Check that HO2S (S1) is not contaminated or damaged by foreign materials.

    YES 

    • Go to "PCSV Inspection" procedure below.

    NO 

PCSV Inspection 

  1. Connect KDS/GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF".
  3. Perform "Actuation Test  " for PCSV.

  4. Ignition "OFF".
  5. Disconnect PCSV connector.
  6. Measure resistance between power and control terminal of the PCSV. (component side)

    Specification  : Approx. 2.0kΩ [20°C (68°F)]

  7. Does the PCSV operate properly and is the measured resistance within specification?

    YES 

    • Go to "GDI Injector Inspection" procedure below.

    NO 

GDI Injector Inspection 

  1. Connect KDS/GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. Perform "Actuation Test  " for Injector.

  3. Check if the RPM decreases when performing injector's actuation test.
  4. Does any cylinder change in RPM or small change in RPM when disabling individual injector?

    YES 

    NO
