Status LED Circuit Check

  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect BSD switch & BSD ECU (RH) connector.
  3. Measure resistance of Pin No. 13 (LED power) of the BSD Switch connector and Pin No. 3 (LED power) of the BSD ECU (RH) connector.

    Specification:  Below 1.0Ω

  4. Ignition "OFF".
  5. Disconnect BSD switch & BSD ECU (RH) connector.
  6. Measure resistance of Pin No. 13 (LED power) of the BSD Switch connector and chassis ground.

    Specification:  ∞ (infinite)Ω

  7. Ignition "OFF".
  8. Disconnect BSD switch connector.
  9. Measure resistance of Pin No. 8 (LED ground) of the BSD Switch connector and chassis ground.

    Specification:  Below 1.0Ω

  10. Is the measured resistance within specification?

    YES 

    • Check BSD LED switch connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " procedure.

    NO
