DTC Description

The ECM sets a P052100 DTC when engine oil pressure is higher or lower than target. CVVT control is prohibited when ECU has a P052100 DTC.

In case of close stuck of engine oil regulating valve, actual pressure is higher than target and the advantage in fuel efficiency is disappeared because oil pump is controlled in high pressure mode.

In case of open stuck of engine oil regulating valve, actual pressure is lower than target and the ECM limits engine RPM because engine could be damaged with low oil pressure.
