DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Signal monitoring - low voltage
  • Poor Connector Connection
  • Open in power circuit/short to ground
  • Signal circuit short to ground
  • Faulty TPS
  • Faulty PCM
Enable Conditions
  • Ignition "ON"
Threshold Value
  • TPS1 voltage < 0.12V
Diagnostic Time
  • 0.05s
MIL ON Condition
  • 1 driving cycle
Limp-Home
  • Forced limited power mode: When the DTC is set, the PCM reduces engine torque by 25% of normal value
  • The PCM uses TPS2 signal to monitor the controlled opening angle of the throttle valve
