DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Voltage range check
  • Poor connection
  • Open or short to battery in signal harness
  • Open in ground harness
  • TPS
  • ECM
Case 1 Enable Condition
  • Ignition switch is "ON" condition
Threshold Value
  • The voltage of TPS 1 is greater than 4.9V
  • Short circuit to battery or open circuit
Case 2 Enable Condition
  • Ignition "ON" condition
  • Engine operating state (idle)
    • Gas pedal value is lower than 0.01%.
  • TPS set point is less than 21.8%.
  • TPS 1 and TPS 2 ratio failure is detected or TPS 2 failure is detected.
Threshold Value
  • The voltage of TPS 1 at engine idle is greater than 3.0V
  • Short circuit to battery or open circuit
Diagnosis Time
  • Continuous
MIL ON Condition
  • 1 driving cycle
