Signal Circuit Inspection: Notes

  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Refer to CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR REMOVAL and disconnect Intake Camshaft Position Sensor connector.
  3. Ignition "ON".
  4. Measure voltage between Pin No. 2 (Signal) terminal of Intake Camshaft Position Sensor harness connector and chassis ground.

    Specification:  Approx. 4.8V

  5. Is measured value within specification?

    YES 

    NO 

    • Repair open or short in signal circuit between Intake Camshaft Position Sensor and PCM and then go to "VERIFICATION OF REPAIR " procedure.
