DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Heater Performance Check
  1. Poor connection
  2. Open or Short to ground in power circuit
  3. Damaged or corroded terminals
  4. HO2S (S1)
Case 1 Enable Conditions
  • B+ greater than 10.5V and less than 16.0V
  • Sensor heating time greater than 45s
Threshold Value
  • Ceramic Temp less than 720 °C (1328°F)
Diagnostic Time
  • 3s
Case 2 Enable Conditions
  • Exhaust Temp greater than 450 °C (842 °F)
  • Power of Sensor heating greater than 90%
  • Sensor heating time greater than 50s
  • No Fuel Cut greater than 50s
Threshold Value
  • Ceramic Temp less than 720 °C (1328 °F)
Diagnostic Time
  • 60s
Case 3 Enable Conditions
  • Exhaust Temp greater than 450 °C (842 °F)
  • Sensor heating time greater than 50s
  • No Fuel Cut greater than 50s
Threshold Value
  • Ceramic Temp less than 640 °C (1184 °F)
Diagnostic Time
  • 10s
Mil On Condition
  • 3 driving cycles
