Power Circuit Inspection

  1. Ignition "OFF"
  2. Refer to EGR VALVE CONNECTOR REMOVAL and disconnect EGR Valve connector.
  3. Ignition "ON"
  4. Measure voltage between Pin No. 6 (Power) terminal of EGR Valve harness connector and chassis ground.

    Specification:  Approx. 5V

  5. Is measured value within specification?

    YES 

    NO 

    • Repair open or short in power circuit between Throttle Body and PCM and then go to "VERIFICATION OF REPAIR " procedure.
