Ground Circuit Inspection
- Ignition "OFF"
- Disconnect Battery (-) terminal.
- Refer to ACCELERATOR POSITION SENSOR (APS) , ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) "service information" and disconnect Accel Pedal Position Sensor and PCM connector.
- Measure resistance between Pin No. 1 (Ground) terminal of Accel Pedal Position Sensor harness connector and Pin No. 46 (Ground) terminal of ECM/PCM harness connector.
Specification: Approx. below 1Ω
- Connect PCM connector.
- Measure resistance between Pin No. 1 (Ground) terminal of Accel Pedal Position Sensor harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification: Approx. below 1Ω
- Is measured value within specification?
YES
- Go to "Signal Circuit Inspection " procedure.
NO
- Repair open or short in ground circuit, and then go to "VERIFICATION OF REPAIR " procedure.
