Ground Circuit Inspection

  1. Ignition "OFF"
  2. Disconnect Battery (-) terminal.
  3. Refer to ACCELERATOR POSITION SENSOR (APS) , ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) "service information" and disconnect Accel Pedal Position Sensor and PCM connector.
  4. Measure resistance between Pin No. 2 (Ground) terminal of Accel Pedal Position Sensor harness connector and Pin No. 47 (Ground) terminal of ECM/PCM harness connector.

    Specification:  Approx. below 1Ω

  5. Connect PCM connector.
  6. Measure resistance between Pin No. 2 (Ground) terminal of Accel Pedal Position Sensor harness connector and chassis ground.

    Specification:  Approx. below 1Ω

  7. Is measured value within specification?

    YES 

    NO
