■ Smart Key Unit Learning

Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF".
Connect KDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
Select "Vehicle S/W Management" with KDS.
Perform "Smart Key Code Saving" in "Vehicle S/W Management" and proceed according to the guide.
CAUTION: Pin code must be prepared to Neutralize Smart Key unit and to perform key teaching procedure.

Is the neutralization of Smart Key Unit, Engine PCM and Key Teaching normal?
YES
- Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in Smart Key Unit and/or PCM 's connector or was repaired and Smart key unit memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification Of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
NO
- Carefully redo this troubleshooting guide steps.
- If problem still occurs, replace PCM and then go to "Verification Of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
NOTE:
■ PIN Code Is Programmed In Smart Key Unit, Transponder, ESCL.
1. If the Smart Key Unit is not registered with PIN, key teaching process is not proceeded
2. Registering PIN is available after Smart Key unit is neutralized.
3. Neutralization of Engine PCM is available with KDS (Registering PIN Code).
4. If the virgin engine PCM is installed on vehicle, Engine PCM is automatically programmed PIN code by Smart Key Unit.
5. Registering PIN code is only possible for Virgin or Neutralized Status.
