Open Circuit Inspection For BSD ECU (RH/LH) CAN Communication Line

  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect Battery (-) terminal.
  3. Disconnect BSD ECU (RH) connector and BSD ECU (LH) connector.
  4. Measure resistance between Pin No. 2 (L-CAN-HIGH) of the BSD ECU (RH) connector and Pin No. 2 (CAN-HIGH) of the BSD ECU (LH) connector.
  5. Measure resistance between Pin No. 1 (L-CAN-LOW) of the BSD ECU (RH) connector and Pin No. 1 (CAN-LOW) of the BSD ECU (LH) connector.

    Specification:  Below 1 Ω

  6. Is the measured resistance within specifications?

    YES 

    • Check BSD ECU (RH/LH) connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
    • Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification Of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
