Repair Procedures: Replacement

  1. Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
  2. Remove the rear wheel and tire.

    (Refer to Suspension System - "WHEEL ")

  3. Disconnect the EPB connector (A).

  4. Loosen the guide rod bolts (A) and tie the caliper body (B) up with suitable wire to near part.

    Tightening torque: 

    37.3 - 41.2 N.m (3.8 - 4.2 kgf.m, 27.5 - 30.4 lb.ft)

  5. Disconnect the rear wheel speed sensor (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    6.9 - 10.8 N.m (0.7 - 1.1 kgf.m, 5.1 - 7.6 lb.ft)

  6. Remove the rear wheel guard.

    (Refer to Body - "REAR WHEEL GUARD ")

  7. Disconnect the height sensor connector (A).
  8. Disconnect the extension connector (B).
  9. Remove the rear wheel speed sensor (C) by loosening the bracket mounting bolt.

    Tightening torque: 

    8.8 - 13.7 N.m (0.9 - 1.4 kgf.m, 6.5 - 10.1 lb.ft)

  10. Install in the reverse order of removal.
