Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
    NOTE: After disconnecting the negative battery terminal, wait at least 30 seconds.
  2. Remove the two airbag module (B) mounting bolts (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    8.0 - 10.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.1 kgf.m, 5.9 - 8.0 lb.ft)

  3. Disconnect the horn connector (A) and airbag module connectors (B).

    CAUTION: The removed airbag module should be stored in a clean, dry place with the pad cover facing up.
