Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
  2. Perform the oil pressure characteristics backup procedure using the KDS when replacing with a new ECM.

  3. Remove the battery.

    (Refer to Engine Electrical System - "BATTERY ")

  4. Disconnect the ECM connector (A).

  5. Remove the ECM (A) by loosening the bracket mounting bolts.

    Tightening torque  :

    9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)

  6. Remove the ECM (A) from the bracket.

    Tightening torque  :

    9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)
