Ground Circuit Inspection
- Ignition "OFF".
- Disconnect Battery (-) terminal.
- Refer to "ETC (ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL) SYSTEM " and disconnect Throttle Body connector.
- Measure resistance between Pin No. 3 (Ground) terminal of Throttle Body harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification: Approx. below 1Ω
- Ignition "OFF".
- Disconnect Battery (-) terminal.
- Refer to "ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) " and disconnect ECM/PCM connector.
- Measure resistance between Pin No. 3 (Ground) terminal of Throttle Body harness connector and Pin No. 59 (Ground) terminal of ECM/PCM harness connector.
Specification: Approx. below 1Ω
- Is the measured value within specification?
YES
- Go to "SIGNAL CIRCUIT INSPECTION " procedure.
NO
- Repair open or short in ground circuit between Throttle Body and chassis ground and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
