Signal Circuit Inspection

  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Refer to "ETC (ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL) SYSTEM " and disconnect Throttle Body connector.
  3. Ignition "ON"
  4. Measure voltage between Pin No. 6 (TPS1 Signal) terminal of Throttle Body harness connector and chassis ground.

    Specification:  Approx. 4V

  5. Ignition "OFF"
  6. Disconnect Battery (-) terminal.
  7. Refer to "S ETC (ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL) SYSTEM " and disconnect Throttle Body connector.
  8. Measure resistance between Pin No. 6 (TPS1 Signal) terminal of Throttle Body harness connector and chassis ground.

    Specification:  ∞ (infinite)Ω

  9. Is the measured value within specification?

    YES 

    NO
