DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy Case 1, 2
  • Engine speed is below the target while Idle Speed Control (ISC) torque is at the maximum during catalyst heating phase
  • Intake air restriction
  • Exhaust restriction
  • Engine mechanical concern
  • Damaged or sludgy throttle body
  • Vacuum leaks
  • Damaged ECM
Case 3
  • Fuel cut-off during stand-still, idle condition and catalyst heating phase
Enable Conditions
  • Vehicle speed is same as 0km/h (0mph)
  • Accelerator pedal is 0%
  • After catalyst heating is greater than 0s
  • Catalyst heating is active
    • ECT at start is between -12 and 42°C (10.4 and 107.6°F)
    • IAT is greater than -12°C (10.4°F)
    • Barometric pressure is greater than 75.4kPa
    • Modelling catalyst temperature is lower than 300°C (572°F)
Threshold Value Case 1
  • Difference between target engine speed and actual engine speed is greater than 100RPM
  • Difference between maximum idle torque and actual idle torque is less than 10Nm
Case 2
  • Difference between actual engine speed and target engine speed is greater than 200RPM
  • Difference between actual idle torque and minimum idle torque is less than 20Nm
Case 3
  • Greater than 3 times
Diagnostic Time
  • 12s (once per driving cycle)
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
