DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Internal timer performance monitoring after engine "OFF"
  • Faulty ECM
Enable Conditions Case1
  • Warmed up condition met at previous trip
  • IAT deviation is greater than 0°C (32°F)

    (IAT deviation is difference between IAT at key off previous trip and IAT at key on)

  • ECT deviation is greater than 40°C (104°F)

    (ECT deviation is difference between ECT at key off previous trip and ECT at key "ON")

  • Deviation between ECT and IAT is higher than 30°C (86°F)
Case2
  • Warmed up condition met at previous trip
  • IAT deviation is greater than 40°C (104°F)

    (IAT deviation is difference between IAT at key off previous trip and IAT at key on)

  • ECT deviation is greater than 3.8 to 15°C (38.8 to 59°F)

    (ECT deviation is difference between ECT at key off previous trip and ECT at key "ON")

  • Deviation between ECT and IAT is higher than 30°C (86°F)
Threshold Value Case1
  • Engine off timer is below 0 to 900s (engine off timer at key "ON" too slow)
Case2
  • Engine off timer is greater than 7000 to 84000 (engine off timer at key "ON" too fast)
