Repair Procedures: Installation

Check that the gear is shifted to "N".
Install the position switch (A) and manual control lever (B).

NOTE: Lightly tighten the manual control lever nut so that necessary adjustments can be made.
Align the hole in the manual control lever with the "N" position hole of the position switch and then insert the SST inhibitor switch guide pin (09480 - A3800).

Install the position switch bolts (B) after installing manual control lever nut and washer (A).
Tightening torque:
1. 17.6 - 24.5 N.m (1.8 - 2.5 kgf.m, 13.0 - 18.0 lb.ft)
2. 9.8 - 11.7 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.6 lb.ft)

Tighten the nut (A) to the specified torque after removing free play by pushing the shift cable in the direction of the arrow lightly.
Tightening torque:

9.8 - 14.7 N.m (1.0 - 1.5 kgf.m, 7.2 - 10.8 lb.ft)

Remove the SST (09480 - A3800).

Connect the position switch connector (A).

Install the battery and battery tray.
(Refer to " Removal ")
Install the air cleaner assembly.
(Refer to " Removal and installation ")
Operate the shift lever to check whether each position (P, R, N, D) works.
