- Sensor ceramic temperature is greater than 640°C (1184°F)
- Sensor element resistance is less than 1kΩ
- Engine speed is greater than 600rpm
- Catalyst temperature (model) is between 300 and 800°C (572 to 1472° F)
- Active test not activated
- Canister purge after fuel cut off not active
- Mass air flow is less than 83g/sec
- Sensor operative readiness detected
- Stable driving condition
- When the difference between the actual engine speed and the filtered engine speed is less than 500rpm
- When the difference between the actual intake air and the filtered intake air is less than 0.4g/rev
- When the difference between the actual lambda value and the filtered lambda value is less than 15%

- Normal auxiliary battery voltage (11 to 16V)
- Fuel cut off not active
- Full load not active
- Long term fuel trim value is less than -0.065
- Catalyst temperature (model) is less than 960°C (1760°F)

- When the air flow mass value accumulated after meeting the following conditions reaches 300g
- Oxygen sensor (B1/S1) lambda value less than 0.7 (rich)
- Oxygen sensor (B1/S2) signal voltage value is less than 0.05V (lean)

- Oxygen sensor (B1/S1) lambda value is less than 1.05 (when the lambda target value is 1.15)
