DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Timer increase check after engine stop
  • Faulty ECM
Enable Condition Case1
  • Warmed up condition met at previous driving cycle
  • ECT at previous driving cycle is greater than 70°C (158°F)
  • The difference between the intake air temperature at the time of the last ignition switch "OFF" and the intake air temperature at the current ignition switch "ON" is greater than 0°C (32°F)
  • The difference between the coolant temperature at the time of the last ignition switch "OFF" and the coolant temperature at the current ignition switch "ON" is greater than 40°C (104°F)
  • No fault related to intake air temperature sensor and coolant temperature sensor
Case2
  • Warmed up condition met at previous driving cycle
  • ECT at previous driving cycle is greater than 70°C (158°F)
  • The difference between the intake air temperature at the time of the last ignition switch "OFF" and the intake air temperature at the current ignition switch "ON" is greater than 40°C (104°F)
  • The difference between the coolant temperature at the time of the last ignition switch "OFF" and the coolant temperature at the current ignition switch "ON" is greater than 30°C (86°F)
  • No fault related to intake air temperature sensor and coolant temperature sensor
Threshold Value Case1
  • If the engine stop timer is less than the specified value (Engine stop timer is slow)
Case2
  • If the engine stop timer is greater than the specified value (Engine stop timer is fast)
