DTC P2229-00: Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input: General Description

Barometric sensor is installed in ECM and senses atmospheric pressure where the vehicle is. Based on signal of barometric sensor, air density is calculated. And barometric sensor is used to detect mass air flow with Mass Air Flow Sensor (MAFS), Intake Temperature Sensor (IATS). This sensor is required to perform fuel injection quantity correction in variable altitude.
